Finally, Bruce Banner’s sufferings have reached an end in Marvel Comics. In Marvel’s THANOS comic series, we see super-villain Thanos in the distant Marvel Universe timeline, which is portrayed as the end of the virtual Marvel world. It seems like Bruce Banner continues to struggle with the Green Guy inside him even in the future and gets killed eventually. So basically, Thanos gets established as the only character in Marvel who hasn’t died and remains undefeated.
In this ending, the Hulk has been chained up like a beast by Thanos.
It seems like the Hulk is leading a miserable life, and he begs Thanos to kill him. So, you can be sure that in this issue of Thanos, the Hulk dies, not at the hands of Thanos though, but someone else…
In the comic story, when the Silver Surfer aka Norrin Radd, comes to destroy the destroyer of the universe– Thanos, wielding Thor’s Mjolnir (The Last One), the Hulk gets loose and unleashes his inner green beast on the Silver Surfer. Luckily, the Silver Surfer remembers the Hulk and all his past good deeds to save the world and he is a part of the Avengers. The Silver Surfer also remembers Bruce Banner who was a calm and shy scientist.
Even with all the cosmic powers he possesses, combined with the powers of Thor, the Silver Surfer still tries not to fight the Hulk even after the continued massive blows he receives from him. It’s because the Silver Surfer’s agenda was to destroy Thanos. Since the Hulk came in his way, he could not afford to show mercy on him.
While fighting with the Hulk, the Silver Surfer attacks him with a powerful weapon related to Asgard (Thor’s birthplace), thus ending Bruce Banner’s lifelong suffering.
Bruce Banner actually finds it peaceful to die among his friends, the former Avenger.
We at Comicstan, won’t provide any more spoilers on how, when and what happened.
We are just both happy and sad to see our favorite Hulk die.
